Sea Fishing is without a doubt the hardest fishing technique to master, on a boat or on the beach each has its on challenges and both are incredibly hard I would know from personal experience. On a boat their a tricky tides and tricky fish to deal with, perhaps the Sharks or Marlins are your targets, maybe smaller faster game fish either way catching a a fish at sea on rod and reel is difficult. When fishing from land to sea everything has to be right, the weather, the timing, the fish. Beach fishing is a long process and a game of patience think carp fishing for sharks. Setting a rod is an easy task but waiting for the fish to come closer to shore to catch it and even then they won't bite or choose not too.

You can also do kayak fishing which I would not recommend because personal I can't swim so I wouldn't want to be capsized but kayak may be the most dangerous fishing of them all, you don't know who will bite or how far they'll take you out.

Jeremy Wade seen in this photo with the Tigerfish. Jeremy is famous for his television series River Monsters (a show I'm very fond off and this also began my love/hate relationship with angling/fishing) River Monsters is seen on National Geographic and ITV, the main purpose of the show is too show monstrous freshwater fish that are known to feast upon humans, he's goes to solve these mysteries and bring to a conclusion whether or not they are "man-eaters". On some episodes Jeremy reflects on his triumphs and personal favourites, there are 36 episodes and 11 specials encounter Jeremy's tangles with the unknown.

Robson Green isn't just a famous actor he's also famous for his angling career, he scourers the globe searching for fish to catch, going to each ends and meeting new people trying new things in order to become one of the best anglers in the world, in the photo he has caught a young Sturgeon. He does the show Extreme Fishing with Robson Green but there are also other shows that link into this one including The World Tour, At The Ends Of The Earth and Robson Green Fishing Challenge. This Geordie is a great fishermen on the best I've seen on television or in the person, he's adaptability and courageous attitude and love for fishing makes him an idol of mine.

This is Zeb Hogan with our friend the Mekong Giant Catfish. Zeb is famous for fishing he currently works for National Geographic and does his televisoin show Monster Fish, where fresh or sea water he'll be there rod in hand varying for the biggest, baddest and certainly the best. Like Robson and Jeremy he can do it all he catches them all fishes them all and does it all, he's a man who knows his fish and how to catch them, he's is also very competitive he carves and needs to catch the biggest and the most, I only just recently came across Zeb but he's already impressing with his vast knowledge and fishing accolade.

This is a photo of the Mekong River in South Eastern Asia, she flows through Thailand, China, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Myanmar. This river holds 3 massive freshwater fish, perhaps the 3 biggest in the world and are an anglers dream catch and destination. The beautiful surrounding landscape and massive river holds these magical secrets, the Giant Carp (largest of the Carp species) Is a personal favourite of mine, the Giant Mekong Catfish who grow to mind blogging preposterous sizes and the largest freshwater fish out there the Freshwater Stingray and giant with an impressive fight and terrible stinger. Thailand is a beautiful mesmerising place and one day I hope to fish these waters myself and conquer these hauntingly beautiful beasts bringing them in and maybe a few records along the way, thanks for reading my post on the Mekong Giants.

There are many fish found in the Amazon river throughout South America, but I'd like to concentrate on 5 of my personal favourites, the Peacock Bass, Arapaima, Pacu, Piranha and Payara. First of all then the beautifully coloured Peacock Bass, this wondrous fish packs quiet a punch for smaller species that finds home in the Amazon river, these Bass are predatory fish like nearly all Bass and prefer hunting in schools as they travel the tropical rapids of the Amazon, smaller fish are preferably on the menu for this little snapper, they are also on the menu often themselves are a renowned for a unique and quite beautiful taste. The Arapaima the largest fish in the Amazon and they are big, matching even the Amazon River Dolphin and Crocodilians that reside in the river, they have a ferocious appetite and are not scared of anything so not scared of anything that there favourite happens the be the world famous and incredibly dangerous Piranha. Known for there torpedo shaped body and red colouring on the tail this fish is surprisingly slow for there streamlined body shape but this by no means this creature should be underestimated, feared by the locals and Piranha these beasts truly are one of natures scary shocking spine tingling beauties. Pacu are also known as Cachama these fish are quite surprising though they may look like one of your worse nightmares and resembling the dangerous Piranha but they prefer eating well healthy although they eat smaller fish and snails they'd rather eat some good old fruit and locals know this so they use fruit to catch these, they have a tangy taste, meanwhile these are actually quite placid but they can pack quite a bite. Payara are fish that are restricted to one small basin of the Amazon River, they live near the Rio Tapajos. Payara are a ferocious looking fish with a mean appetite devouring smaller fish and impaling them where their famous teeth. Although not actually a beauty this fish is one many would love to catch.
